На всякий случай, если кто не
понял: все это будет на английском!!!! Но если
пожеланий перевести будет более чем много,
я помучаюсь...
The wandering monk/mage (yay! mages rock!) with the
powder-blue hair that defies gravity and the ever-smiling mask that hides a past
of pain.
Vital stats and stuff: Full Real Name: Houjun ??? Age and
Birthday: 24, born May 21 Birthplace: ?? (I dont't think it's been
revealed) Seishi Name: Chichiri Seishi Character: The kanji for "Sho"
(Well), appearing on his right knee Seishi Ability: Some pretty powerful
magic, as far as I can tell First Appears in: Ohh, my memory's rusty and I
have to check, but I think it was around episode 7.. Height: 175cm or 1m
(^_^) --> 5'10" or 3'4" Hair Color: Powder blue Eye Color: Gray, I
think
Personality: From Tasuki no Miko's home office in
Cucamunga, here's Watase Yuu's take on Chichiri: "An elusive, mysterious
person who wears a mask and is always wandering. Can be silly or serious. A
neutral character who doesn't break the Suzaku Seishi stereotype. On the
surface, Tamahome and Hotohori may seem the leaders but he is the leader behind
the scenes who looks after them and counsels them. (He is the adult who looks
after the boys) He uses various spells taught to him by Taiitsukun. Having no
selfish desires, he keeps rather distant from ordinary men which probably makes
him hermit-like."
My own thoughts: Personally, I didn't get much from the series
about Chichiri's personality (most of what I know I learned from other character
descriptions! See bottom of page)... The poor guy is scarred emotionally for
life, but he's very strong to have been able to pull through it and still be
there for Miaka and the rest. I mean, how many of us have the resilience to be
able to say, "yes, I've had a hellish experience, and I carry around the weight
of my guilt every day, but sure I'll listen to your problems and give you
advice."?
Rock of Gibraltor? I've seen Chichiri described as
having the most together and calm personality, doesn't flip out, etc...I don't
see it. I think he's in SD form often enough that his reactions to various
events are not all that calm but often rather humorous. Just how "together" is
he, really?
However (and here's where I reverse my position entirely ^_^)...
Chichiri can be very sensible, practical, and logical, and is a very good
source for advice. He definitely shows the wisdom of those extra few years he
has over the other seishi, coupled with his experiences. I guess I do see it
after all... *sighs* He's just so awesome!
At any rate, Chichiri's the only magician on the Suzaku side, and God knows
the shichiseishi need a magician to even stand a chance against Nakago
:(. The gang definitely needs his wise and strong shoulder to lean on (or cry
on) in times of trouble, and his cool-headed thinking has gotten them through a
crisis more than once.
A common utterance: "DAAA!" (and variations thereof ^^)
